Supporting Sisters was created with the thought in mind that all women (regardless of race, background, etc) are “sisters.”
Like many of you, I am a mom, wife and friend.
For years, I thought of starting a blog. I wanted my blog to fulfill a need or change someone’s life and make it better.
I kept asking myself, “What am I good at? What do I have to offer someone else?”
I’m not a scholar. I don’t have a Ph.D. or a fancy title. I don’t know everything, and I am far from being perfect.
But I do know what it feels like to be hurt. I do know what it feels like to believe that sadness is a way of life. And I do know that anyone can overcome those feelings and live a happy future.
The biggest thing I’ve learned is that life is the best teacher. All the degrees and education in the world cannot replace the lessons I’ve learned over the years.
That’s when I realized I could just be me, and that alone will help someone else find who they are.
Sometimes, we need support from others to help get us through rough times in our life. Many of us face challenges, but so few of us know how to effectively handle them.
From abusive relationships, to failed relationships, to emotional stress, and so on.
Often times, we just need someone who truly understands what we are going through. We just need to know that there’s someone out there who can relate to what we are going through. Unfortunately, I didn’t always have a shoulder to cry on.
Fortunately, things are very different for me today. And that’s why I started this blog.
Supportingsisters.com is a support system for women who feel alone.
We are all sisters. We all have a story to tell.
I want this blog to be your inspiration. I want to share stories that will give you hope and strength to overcome your adversities.
You can live a life full of joy. You can overcome hurt and pain. And as your sister, I will show you just how to do that!
I am a mother who’s dealt with the struggles of raising a child.
I am a wife who knows how challenging a marriage can be.
I am a Christian who’s struggled with living a life that’s pleasing to the Lord.
I am a friend who has been hurt and used before.
So who am I? I am a woman, just like you!
So think of today as a brand new start. What you thought was hopeless is now possible. So get ready to take that first step into your new life. I’m excited about your future!
Sincerely,
